The YIP USB works with both dial-up service and broadband internet connection as long as the access speed is stable and above 30k/bps.  The USB also works with NAT and most of the network firewalls and on operating systems WIN98 SE and later.

Unlike other similar USB products, the YIP USB phone is not only a combination of dial-pact earphone and speaker, it is an independent USB device which does voice compression to ensure you much better voice quality.
